Exuma Transport

This rental car dealership in located in the central point of Georgetown and sells cars and trucks for 60$/day with the option of insurance for only $10 per day.

Mondays to Fridays from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Saturdays from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm

Scooter Rental

Scooters are available for rent on the island at many locations throughout the city such as city centers and hotels. The average cost of a scooter is $25-$40 per day.

Taxis

Rates for Taxi Services are set forth by the government handled appropriately and for the security of the tourist. There is a fixed beginning rate of $3, which is then followed by a 0.35¢ charge per 0.5 km. There is a limit of two passengers per taxi cab, if there is a request for more than two people; the additional person is charged an extra $3. An additional service offered for taxis is the hourly taxi service. Taxis can be hired at an hourly rate of $45 for a five-passenger cab. There is also a 0.75¢ charger per suitcase, whereby the first two suitcases are transported free.

Jitney

This is the least expensive way to travel in the Great Exumas. The jitneys are medium-sized buses, with a charge of $1. It is required that the traveler has the exact change of $1 because the drivers will not offer change. The jitney operates daily from 6:30 am to 7 pm.

Boat

You can take a taxi on the water daily from 9 am to 6 pm. The boat arrives every twenty minutes with the charge of $6 per person. There is also the option of traveling with the island ferry. The hours of operation are daily from 9: 30 am to 4:15 pm, every half hour from both sides of the harbor.

Moped

This is a great traveling option because it offers tourists a chance to experience the island at their own pace and visit hard to reach places with the small-sized moped. Knowles, is a credible institution that offers the rental of mopeds for $45/day, with insurance and helmets included in the rental price.
